PFAW Member,

One of our nation’s most treasured institutions, the United States Postal Service, is on the brink of collapse. Following decades of politicized attacks, the continued neglect of this vital agency that millions of people rely on may soon result in its demise.

Urge Congress to save the USPS by providing $25 billion in emergency relief funding now! >>

Since 1792, USPS has ensured that every American, no matter where they live, can receive essential packages, prescriptions, mail-in ballots, birthday cards, letters, and bills at an affordable cost. With only minimal price increases for its essential services over the years the postal service is an institution that remains accessible – cutting across many barriers to provide everyone an opportunity to utilize its services.

While the USPS has become particularly strained during the pandemic, its vital operations are perhaps even more necessary than ever before. But due to the decades long effort to undermine the agency in favor of privatization and the need for additional resources to protect essential workers amid the pandemic, the already-struggling agency is facing extraordinary challenges to stay operational.

And as more states begin implementing vote by mail to allow voters to safely cast their ballots this year, it will also place a higher burden on an agency that is already struggling to meet demands. As our democracy hangs in the balance, we must ensure that the USPS is able to process all ballots that are sent in the mail and they cannot do it without support from Congress.

Congress is poised to provide relief to the USPS in the coming days; please help ensure that it’s enough to ensure its survival! Add your name now to the thousands calling on Congress to provide the USPS with $25 billion in relief funding! >>

We can’t risk allowing the postal service to collapse in favor of a more expensive private option. Help ensure that future generations can enjoy and rely on the USPS we have all come to know and love over the years.

Thanks for all that you do,

-- PFAW

Radical Right extremists are trying to turn back the clock on a century of advances in civil rights, women’s rights, workers’ rights, the social safety net and more… With Donald Trump in the White House, they’re waging an all-out assault on the fundamental pillars of our country – democracy, checks and balances, a fair and independent judicial branch, and core values like fairness, equality, and justice for all.

PFAW is fighting back every day with:

✔ Grassroots organizing
✔ Lobbying and advocacy
✔ Research and education
✔ Voter mobilization
✔ And more…

But we can’t do this vital work without the robust grassroots financial support of our members and activists.

Please help fund the fight for progress and stand against right-wing extremism with an urgently needed donation to PFAW today>>
