The federal government has a critical role to play in informing the public about the importance of wearing masks, and reducing as many barriers to their usage as possible. Eliminating cost and increasing supply is one of the most substantial ways we can ensure widespread compliance.

Let’s be very clear about our reality: things will not go back to normal until we have this virus under control. We cannot restore our economy until we can massively reduce the spread. But experts estimate that we could save trillions of dollars if Americans across the country accept widespread adoption of rigorous, consistent mask use.
