September 14 in Orange, CA Constitution Day Celebration Saturday, September 14, 2019 10:30am—5:30pm Chapman University Orange, CA Purchase Tickets! Signed 232 years ago this September, the Founders’ Constitution laid out guarantees of natural rights as well as structural protections of our liberty. Today, the American legal establishment holds these American principles of natural right and limited government in contempt. We find ourselves at a Constitutional crisis as progressives continue their transformation of the Constitution into a living, changing document and the campus left’s ideology of multiculturalism and identity politics seeks to colonize the public square and upend and transform our social and political way of life. In defense of the constitutional design envisioned by our nation's founders, we invite you to join our Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence for a Constitution Day Celebration as we discuss pressing threats to our constitutional system. We’ll also pay special tribute to the contributions of Judge David Sentelle, Chief Judge of the of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, who will be awarded Claremont's 2019 Reagan Jurisprudence Award and deliver the luncheon address. Below, you will find our list of panels and esteemed panelists. We invite you to peruse the full agenda at claremont.org/cday and purchase your tickets today. We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Orange County Federalist Society to offer 4 hours of MCLE credit for this event. (The Federalist Society is a California State Bar approved provider of MCLE.)
