We are only weeks away from the Wisconsin Supreme Court election on April 7.

Right now, we are seeing a direct assault on our democracy from the highest levels of government. President Trump is openly calling for the nationalization of our elections, an unprecedented attempt to strip states of their constitutional power and put federal extremists in charge of how we vote.

Wisconsin knows exactly how dangerous this is. In 2020, we came to the very edge of a constitutional crisis. It is a chilling reminder that our State Supreme Court was only one vote away from potentially handing Wisconsin's electoral votes to a slate of fake electors. Our democracy didn't hold by accident. It held because of the people on that bench.

By electing Judge Chris Taylor on April 7, we can secure a pro-democracy, pro-conservation majority that will stand as a firewall against these authoritarian overreaches until at least the 2030 election.

The contrast could not be sharper

Judge Chris Taylor’s opponent, Maria Lazar, is a member of the Federalist Society. It’s the same pipeline used to elevate the most extreme judges in the country. Lazar has already shown where her loyalties lie, previously ruling that corporate polluters couldn't be held accountable for contaminating our water with toxic PFAS chemicals.

We cannot afford a justice who will rubber-stamp a federal takeover of our elections or prioritize corporate profits over our health.
