Friend,
We should all be focusing on Gwinnett County right now. If we want to know whether we’re going to have 4 more years of Donald Trump and his Republican enablers, look at this suburb of Atlanta, Georgia.
I know Gwinnett and I know Georgia. I am a Georgian by birth. And I managed two winning campaigns there for Gov. Zell Miller.
In a county where only 29% of residents voted for the Democratic gubernatorial candidate in 2006, Stacey Abrams won twice that in 2018. Gwinnett used to be a stronghold for Republicans to ensure they’d keep the state. Now it can be the anchor to taking our nation back.
And as Gwinnett goes, Georgia goes. And if Georgia flips, goodbye Donald Trump.
Will you join me in making Gwinnett the reason Georgia flips?

Gwinnett’s change is happening for two reasons:
First, as Gwinnett grew, like so many suburbs it went from a suburban/rural county that was over 90% White, to a suburban majority-minority county with remarkable diversity.
But perhaps even more importantly, the GOP’s rhetoric and actions are driving political activism – people are registering to vote and voting. In 2012, 45% of the population of the county was registered to vote – Democrats received… wait for it… 45% of the vote. In 2018, 54% of the population was registered and Democrats got 57%!
Right now, the number of registered voters in the county is exploding, with 62% registered. And if Gwinnett County goes over 60%... goodbye Donald Trump.
We have to make sure every eligible Democratic voter gets to the polls. We know Republicans will do anything to stop them the way they tried to in 2018.
You can help by supporting two Democrats running in Gwinnett – Nicole Love Hendrickson for Gwinnett County Commission Chair, and Carolyn Bourdeaux for Georgia’s 7th Congressional District. Their campaigns are working tirelessly to reach every voter and make sure they vote.
Carolyn is a whip-smart policy professor who came within 500 votes of flipping the seat in 2018 after the GOP won it by 19% the cycle before. Nicole, a social worker and community leader, would be the first African-American woman County Commission Chair of Gwinnett, and had a phenomenal showing in a 5-way primary against some tough Democratic competition.

We can’t leave anything on the table this year. And it starts by making sure Gwinnett is deep blue.
