John, Trump’s response to
COVID-19 has gone from bad to worse.
“They are dying, that’s true. And it is what it is.” —Trump during an
interview with Axios

Trump has made it clear that he doesn’t care how many loved ones we’ve
lost because of his arrogance or how many of us are about to lose our
homes in this worsening recession. He’d rather bail out corporations and
his ‘Billionaire Boys Club’ cronies than provide basic support for women,
families, and workers. Five months have now passed in this pandemic —
we’re putting our foot down and demanding action once and for all.
[ [link removed] ]That’s why we’re asking you to help us get the critical votes we need
for the Senate to pass the HEROES Act and bring critical relief for
working families. We only have two more days to pass the bill before the
Senate leaves on recess.
Add your name now to the petition we’re sending to Sens. McConnell (KY),
Alexander (TN), Collins (ME), Romney (UT), Grassley (IA), Hawley (MO),
Murkowski (AK), Graham (SC), Gardner (CO), Portman (OH), Rubio (FL), and
Cornyn (TX). We need their votes if we want to pass the relief families
and workers are waiting for.

Mitch McConnell is now trying to push his own plan for COVID relief, but
there’s absolutely nothing helpful about it.
His dangerous and insufficient coronavirus relief proposal would slash
unemployment benefits by $400 a week, tie school funding to reopenings,
and funnel millions for new military hardware. It’s blatantly clear that
the only folks who would benefit from this bill are the billionaire
buddies of this administration and the ultra-rich.
It’s going to be an uphill battle to make sure workers and families
receive the relief they need to get through this crisis. But we will not
go down without a fight. There’s too much at stake.
Thousands of families are on the edge of being evicted from their homes.
Millions of women lost their jobs during COVID-19 and will no longer be
able to afford basic needs if the Senate doesn’t provide immediate
support. Women of color are especially bearing the brunt of this economic
downturn and many are still risking their lives as essential workers
without proper protection.
The House passed the Heroes Act months ago, which includes the necessary
measures that essential workers, families, and women need to survive this
pandemic. We just need to convince the Senate now to do the right thing
and choose people over party politics. Right now, half of Mitch’s
Republican colleagues don’t agree with his proposal.
That’s why we’re racing to collect as many signatures as we can in the
next 48 hours before the Senate adjourns and returns to their home
districts. [ [link removed] ]Will you add your name to the petition we’re sending to 12
Republican Senators and make sure our voices are heard in this crisis?
Keep fighting,
Women’s March
