Over a year of mass deportations. Over a year of a rogue federal agency terrorizing our communities. Over a year of chaos and violence.

Trump’s approval numbers on immigration policy have cratered since the beginning of his second term, as people have begun to see what mass deportations really mean.

Rather than targeting someone who has committed no crime and been here 20 years, working hard to build a better future for themselves and their family, we can build a kinder immigration system.

We can fix our broken immigration system, beginning with passing the Dream and Promise Act. We can develop policies that treat immigrants fairly, reduce immigration backlogs, and provide smart border security.

America has always been a nation of immigrants. It has been ingrained into our national fabric since our country’s inception. We must return to that promise of a welcoming land for all those yearning to breathe free.
