Today marks the first day of the general election.

To every Washingtonian who supported me, who put their trust in me, thank you. I'll fight like hell to make you proud.

Ballots are still being counted, and you'll get to know Loren Culp, my opponent, more in the days ahead, but we can tell you this:

My opponent supports Donald Trump.

He will have the support of the Republican Governors Association and their multi-million dollar war chest.

He will build his campaign on rolling back every bit of progress we've made together.

The fight will be tough, make no mistake.
