Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I hope you’re finding a little luck and joy with family and friends today.

As someone who grew up the son of hard-working migrant farm workers, I know luck only goes so far — it’s hard work, education, and a community that shows up for one another that changes lives.

Last election, we won by 11,000 hard-fought votes. That wasn’t luck — it’s a reminder we all have to keep working together if we want to win again this November.

I’m proud of what we’ve delivered for families in South Texas: Federal funding for small businesses, steps to lower the cost of essentials, and defending access to healthcare and education. But those wins don’t protect themselves.
