Senate offices open this morning at 8 a.m., and we need phones ringing off the hook. The SAVE America ACT to strengthens federal election integrity by: Requiring documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections Establishing an alternative process for those without standard documents (attestation under penalty of perjury and other evidence, with officials verifying) Mandates states to run ongoing verification programs and submit rolls to DHS quarterly States must remove non-citizens from voter rolls using tools like the DHS SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) database, Social Security data, and other sources Requiring photo ID to vote in federal elections Enforcing criminal penalties for knowingly registering non-citizens Nearly 85% of all Americans surveyed support this legislation, and we need to make sure we keep up the peaceful pressure on our leaders to get this done To anyone that has never called their Senator before: today is your day.
