Dear john,As a result of his "One Big Beautiful Bill," Trump and Republicans allocated an unprecedented $191 billion to DHS for the remainder of the Trump presidency, including nearly $85 billion for ICE alone.That entire sum of money is enough to fund the entire department, including TSA, FEMA and other non-ICE and non-CBP functions, until the end of 2027.So when the President says that it's the "crazed Democrats who are not allowing TSA agents to get paid," the math just isn't adding up.Not only is there more than enough money for that, but Republicans in the Senate blocked a Democratic bill that would've fully funded all other agencies except Border Patrol and ICE. The same version of the bill in the House - which I proudly support - wasn't even considered for a vote by Republican leadership.I cannot in good conscience support additional money for ICE and Border Patrol, especially when the Trump administration has not provided responses to any of my several inquiries regarding oversight of ICE and Camp East Montana.
