Our work to recruit, train, and elect progressive candidates all across the country — and support those facing tough re-election fights — is paying off.
Working Families Party

John,

After Jamaal Bowman shocked everyone with a historic upset victory over longtime incumbent Eliot Engel back in June, it was clear: The energy we're seeing in the streets is making itself felt in elections, too.

Last night was no exception. Working Families Party candidates up and down the ballot scored resounding victories against corporate interests who tried to derail our progress. Our work to recruit, train, and elect progressive candidates all across the country — and support those facing tough re-election fights — is paying off.

But we rely on grassroots donors like you to help us build on these victories. Will you rush a donation to the Working Families Party today to help us keep this progressive wave going all the way through November 3rd?

Here's a quick look at what happened last night:

In Michigan, voters in the 13th Congressional District overwhelmingly re-elected Rashida Tlaib despite the pundits predicting a close race with her 2018 opponent.

In Oakland County, just north of Detroit, Karen McDonald defeated the hardline incumbent County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper.

And in Washtenaw County, just west of Detroit, Eli Savit will lead the fight to eliminate cash bail and set up a wrongful conviction unit as the new County Prosecutor.

In Missouri, Kim Gardner — who has faced near-constant criticism, death threats, and racist attacks for taking on the establishment to overhaul the criminal justice system in St. Louis — handily won re-election as Circuit Attorney.

And in Washington State, MLK County WFP candidates Ingrid Anderson and Kirsten Harris-Talley are leading their races for the State Senate and State House, respectively.

In state after state, WFP organizers and volunteers have been working tirelessly to champion transformational, progressive candidates, get the word out via digital ads, and meet voters where they're at through phone calls and text messages.

If we can keep this momentum going all the way through Election Day in just 90 days, we can make sure this multiracial movement for the many will be an unstoppable force — not just for 2020 or 2021 but for years and years to come. Make an investment in what we're building together with a grassroots donation of $3 or more today.

In solidarity,

Team WFP
