Just the other day, Trump claimed on Twitter that he may try to POSTPONE the 2020 Presidential Election.

While it doesn’t shock me that Trump doesn’t care about the Constitution or the will of the people, and that he will try to do anything he can to hold on to power -- I’m still concerned, and I’m sure you are, too. 

My friend, the dear Congressman John Lewis, fought every day of his life to preserve voting rights and the integrity of our elections. We have to continue his work and ensure that we have fair, transparent elections.

Of course, my opponent is a supporter of this president, and we can’t afford any more enablers of his rhetoric and actions. Will you rush a donation towards my campaign and help us fight back against Trump and his enablers?

It’s incredibly important to me that we preserve John’s legacy and continue the fight. It’s our turn now, and we owe that much to John and every other civil rights leader who fought their entire lives for us. 

The Constitution says election dates are set by Congress. We can’t have members of Congress who are willing to give in to Trump any time he chooses to go against the laws of our nation.
