Folks, I am disgusted:
Last week, one of my opponents showed the type of representative he would be—one that traffics in homophobic rhetoric and dog whistles.
He attacked me for supporting a “transgender agenda” and stated I’m “against the family” and represent “something different.”
As an Air Force and Iraq War veteran, I know that discrimination and othering don’t make our country safer or stronger. I served under the anti-LGBTQ policy “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” when too few leaders had the courage to fight for those ready and willing to serve our country. It’s clear my opponent wants to take us back to a dark time.
No one in our country should live in fear of living their truth. But, unfortunately, trans women of color are facing an epidemic of violence, while LGBTQ youth commit suicide at a much higher rate than their peers. We need leaders in Congress who will fight to ensure everyone can live up to their full potential and enjoys equal protection under the law—no more, no less, just equal.
Will you donate $23 to my campaign right now to ensure all Texans have a voice in Congress?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
In Congress, I’ll fight every single day on behalf of all Americans. That’s the job—not sucking up to Donald Trump and trafficking in hate, while vowing to take people’s health care away during a pandemic.
If you’re with me, I need your support to help me defeat this far-right Trump puppet. Donate right now if you can to help.
