Hi there — it’s Gordon, Lizzie’s campaign treasurer.  It’s been a little while since you last heard from me, so I want to check in.

As you might imagine with a treasurer, my job is to make sure our fundraising numbers track with our campaign spending.

And I have good news to share: #TeamLizzie came together in a big way last month, and we reached our end-of-month fundraising goal.  That’s huge, because now, it’s more important than ever that we reach our fundraising benchmarks, and let me tell you why:

1. Ted Cruz recently promised to raise at least $100,000 for Lizzie’s opponent.  That’s on top of the $5 million Washington Republicans and outside groups are already spending!


2. President Trump visited Texas just last week — another sign that our state is a crucial 2020 battleground.  He knows this race is a bellwether for the nation.


3. There are only three months left until Election Day!

As we get closer to Election Day, we’re going to need resources to execute all of our organizing and outreach efforts and that means there will be more deadlines and goals to come.  You can count on hearing from me more often in the coming weeks and months.
