Here’s an update from our campaign:
** DHS Shutdown Continues

On February 14, funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) lapsed causing a partial shutdown.
This means that certain programs at DHS are delayed and that essential government employees like TSA agents are no longer receiving pay. ([link removed])

While the House passed ([link removed]) DHS funding on a vote of 221 to 209, most Senate Democrats oppose funding DHS. Until the Senate votes to pass DHS funding, essential employees will not receive pay.
The impacts of the partial shutdown continue to build, including increasing delays at airports and difficulties with travel.
** Securing Our Elections

I believe our elections should be safe, secure, and transparent. That’s why I am leading the fight in the House to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat. That includes passing the SAVE America Act. ([link removed])

The SAVE America Act is commonsense legislation ([link removed]) that requires photo ID to vote and ensures citizenship verification for new voter registration.
These provisions are popular because they are commonsense. In fact, more than 80% of voters support voter ID. Democrats in the US Senate oppose this bill and continue to spread falsehoods.
Some radicals, like Senator Schumer have called this bill “Jim Crow 2.0.” But just years ago, Senator Schumer supported ID for public benefits. ([link removed])

The fact is election integrity reforms like those in the SAVE America Act were recently put in place in Georgia. The Left made similar accusations then, companies protested, they even moved the MLB All Star Game. But what happened?
Georgia set record turnout. ([link removed]) The University of Georgia also conducted a survey ([link removed]) after the election. They found that 98% voters had no issues casting a ballot and that “91.5%" of voters trusted the integrity of the process.” That includes almost 90% of liberal voters.
Voters who have confidence in our elections can be more likely to participate in our elections. That’s good for our republic.

Winning Wisconsin
It’s important to get involved and help conservative candidates up and down the ballot get out our message about commonsense policies that help working families and seniors.
In just a few weeks ([link removed]) , Wisconsin will elect candidates for local offices and also our next Supreme Court Justice. It’s important to help these candidates by knocking doors, putting up yard signs, and telling your friends and families about the importance of voting for conservative candidates.
