The stage is set for the third Democratic presidential debate, John.

It’s confirmed: Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Beto O’Rourke, Amy Klobuchar, Julian Castro and Andrew Yang are the ten candidates who’ve qualified for the third round of debates, and will go toe-to-toe in a one-night event this September.

After the first two debates featured almost two dozen candidates spread across two nights, this next debate will be a critical turning point and moment for Americans to tune in to this smaller field of candidates debating the issues all together, on one stage.

Will Bernie and Elizabeth once again team up to promote progressive policies like Medicare for All? Will Kamala, Joe, and Cory continue to debate their records on criminal justice and race? Will Beto, Amy, Julian, and Andrew have break-out moments?

In two weeks, I’ll be on the ground in Houston providing pre- and post-debate commentary on ABC, where I’ll be asking these questions and rest assured I’ll bring your progressive values to the table.

Election Day 2020 may seem far away, but as we approach this third debate and move closer to the primaries, we at DFA are working to ensure your voices and interests are heard, and preparing to invest some major resources into races we need to win up and down the ballot if we’re going to take back the White House, flip the Senate, expand the majority in Congress, and elect a new wave of progressive leaders across the country. And don’t forget, we’re working to win important races this November, too!

With our August fundraising deadline coming up this Saturday at midnight, can you swing a contribution of $5 or more to support our efforts and help us hit our grassroots goal?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Your support directly fuels the size of the impact we can make in 2019 and 2020.

Thanks,
