Recently, President Trump issued four executive orders related to prescription drug prices. The first three orders were effective on July 24, 2020. The fourth executive order, which concerns drug prices for Medicare Part B drugs, has a delayed effective date. It calls for a change in the purchase price of those Part B drugs ([link removed]) under what the President called a most favored nation status (MFN) provision. A MFN is a contract provision that assures the buyer that they are getting the lowest price that the seller has agreed to with other buyers. As with all things health insurance, it’s a bit more complicated than it appears.

Dr. Tucker obtained a degree from Cornell University’s Medical College and launched his career as an officer in the U.S. Public Health Service at the National Institutes of Health, doing research on infectious diseases during the Vietnam War. Despite his long list of accomplishments in the medical field, one of his proudest roles was serving as a founding board member of his father’s namesake nonprofit, The Richard Tucker Music Foundation. Social justice warriors are getting away with wrongdoing because it is “woke” for government agencies to show deference to favored socially conscious political causes. The latest example of this hypocrisy: a blue line on the road. Staten Island artist Scott LoBaido painted a blue line about the width of a yellow street line on the median strip in front of a local police precinct to show his solidarity with the police department. Instead of elected officials flocking for photo-ops in front of the line, the Department of Transportation threatened legal action against him. Why? He did not obtain a permit before painting the art.
