Swing Left

Hey Swing Left,

From the start, Trump has repeatedly threatened to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and rip away health care from 23 million Americans. Thanks to the Republican-controlled Senate, this is one campaign promise he might actually keep.

In the middle of a pandemic, when 5.4 million people just lost their health insurance along with their job, the Trump administration filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court to repeal the ACA with absolutely no plan to replace it. The cruelty is just stunning.

The basis of the GOP’s lawsuit is that the ACA is now unconstitutional because Republican senators took out the individual mandate in 2017.1 The six of our targets who were in the Senate in 2017—Cory Gardner (CO), Susan Collins (ME), Thom Tillis (NC), Steve Daines (MT), David Perdue (GA), and Joni Ernst (IA)—all voted to repeal the individual mandate, making this legal challenge possible. All eight of our targets support repealing the ACA. If the Trump administration rips health care away from millions of Americans with this lawsuit, every single one of these senators will be responsible.

Show these Senators that votes have consequences. Donate to the Senate Fund today to help us raise $1 million for their Democratic challengers and flip the Senate this November. Every single dollar donated goes directly to candidates.
