August is National Make-a-Will Month. The truth is almost 70% of American adults don’t have a will or concrete plans for the future. You may be thinking “why is CPD telling me about writing a will?”

CPD knows how important it is to have a will in place which is why we’ve partnered with FreeWill. FreeWill gives added benefit in helping each of us define our legacies and care for the people and causes most dear to us for the future.

I know this year has looked different than many years past. Beginning in March, COVID-19 has shaken our nation to its core—tens of millions of people have lost their jobs, and millions can’t pay rent, or can’t access the health care they need. Amidst this global health emergency and our government’s poor response to it, mass protests have taken place across the United States as people stand together to defund the police and achieve true liberation.
