Come through for this event to help trace, paint, screen-print, and trim the banners and patches that will be the centerpieces of the Milwaukee flagship event of the global climate strike on September 20th.

12 noon - Meet at Milwaukee County Court House - Southside
1:00 pm - March from the County Court House down Wells St., past the State office Building, to Milwaukee City Hall (.9 miles) for a Community Open Mic. We are expecting speakers (students, activists, representatives, etc.), musicians, poetry reading, and more.
If you’ve been inspired by the school strikers, but you’re not sure how you can take action as an ally, read on for 3 meaningful ways you can show your support:
- Join the Global Climate Strikes
School strikers are calling on everyone: young people, parents, workers, and all concerned citizens to join massive climate strikes and a week of actions starting on September 20.
- Spread the word
It’s as simple as it sounds. Talk to everyone you know – young or grown-up – about the climate strikes, about what they’ve achieved already; and our role in supporting young people. Share with them your own reasons for wanting to see urgent climate action. Tell them about Greta’s message of climate emergency, or, even better, show them one of her powerful speeches.
- Organize your community
Activate your own network (yes, you have one!) in support of the climate strikes. Think of the organizations, clubs or faith groups you belong to. Maybe you’re in a parents group, or a book club? Talk about the climate strikes at your next meeting; take to social media and share a public statement of support. Organize others for solidarity actions and events.
Preliminary Agenda:
- We've invited We Energies to present their Renewable Plan during the first half of our meeting
- Second half will be dedicated to the Climate Strike
- For our October 8th 350 Milwaukee meeting, we're inviting RENEW Wisconsin to present their analysis of We Energies' Renewable Plan
