Join us in welcoming our new Executive Director!

Friend -- cue the drum rolls because we’re ready to announce our new executive director! 🥁

At the beginning of this year, our team at United We Dream embarked on an exciting journey of selecting and welcoming new executive leadership of our network.

Now, after a thorough and thoughtful year-long process, it’s with much love and excitement that we announce Greisa Martínez Rosas as the next Executive Director of United We Dream and United We Dream Action! 🤩

Check out our website and watch the video below to learn more about Greisa and the vision she brings to our movement family.

As we face a pivotal time in our movement’s history, we’re so proud to welcome Greisa in her new role. Originally from Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo, Mexico, Greisa grew up undocumented in South Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas and began her career as a youth organizer in High School. Since then, she’s become a fearless defender and advocate of her undocumented community.

Queer, unashamed, undocumented and unafraid -- Greisa is the embodiment of the intersectional movement that we need in order to win dignity and freedom for our people. From organizing high school walkouts to leading national campaigns to Defund ICE & CBP and Defend DACA, Greisa will now lead us through a new chapter of our network.

Today, our network is stronger than ever with 800,000 members, over 100 local groups across 28 states, and a reach of over 5 million per month. Over the years, our incredible staff and leaders have trained 70,000 immigrant youth in organizing, have stopped over 700 deportations, and have won systemic change. Now, through Greisa’s vision, we’ll continue to be rooted in immigrant joy, resilience, and action in order to win the fight for liberation for all our people.

Join us as we celebrate Greisa and the power of our movement. 💛

With love,

the United We Dream and United We Dream Action Team
