Dear John,
As I am sure you heard, the White House and Congressional Democrats are currently negotiating yet another stimulus package that responds to the coronavirus pandemic.
We need your help to stop excessive and wasteful spending from being included in that legislation.
Democrats, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), are demanding that the federal government spend $3 TRILLION in the bill being discussed with the White House, doubling the $3 TRILLION the federal government has ALREADY allocated across the country.
John, it is urgent that you contact your elected officials, both in the White House and Congress, and press them to oppose Pelosi and Schumer’s outrageous demands.
Pelosi and Schumer are refusing to give up on pushing forward with Pelosi’s HEROES Act, a radical $3 trillion spending spree that passed the House and does little to address the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.
The bill has hundreds of billions of dollars in wasteful spending completely unrelated to the coronavirus crisis like Green New Deal programs, allows state and local governments to use the new $1 trillion to bail themselves out after decades of wasteful spending; and contains permanent new programs and mandates that will make it far more difficult for the nation to recover from the impact of the pandemic.
Pelosi and Schumer decided to play politics and hurt tens of million of Americans by rejecting an offer from the White House to temporarily extend unemployment insurance payments and a moratorium on evictions to give more time to negotiations. Instead, they are demanding that all of the outrageous and expensive proposals found in the HEROES Act be included in the next stimulus bill.
If these radical ideas are accepted by the White House and Congress, we will see the size, scope, and power of the federal government expanded dramatically and our individual freedoms and liberties will be threatened.
John, before you do anything else today, please take a moment to send a letter to your members of Congress and the White House letting them know that you are outraged by Pelosi and Schumer’s unacceptable demands.
It will only take a minute of your time, and it will make a big difference.
