Last week we found out that the Environmental Protection Agency appointed Dennis Deziel as administrator for our region. For the last five years, Deziel’s been a lobbyist for Dow Chemical -- a leading producer of toxic and plastic waste.
Now he’s the person who will oversee the protection of our environment in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut -- including land in ten tribal nations.
This news has been deeply concerning; that’s why I’d like your input today:
