In fact, at a time when the coronavirus pandemic continues to rage across the country and Congress has failed to reach an agreement on the next coronavirus relief bill, millions of older Americans are deeply concerned that their earned benefits could land on the chopping block.
This summer, we need to take a firm stand for Social Security and Medicare — benefits that over a lifetime are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to you and your family. Specifically, I need you to remind your congressional lawmakers that slashing earned benefits to pay for deficit reduction, coronavirus relief or huge tax breaks for the very wealthy is NOT a plan voters like you support.
