Tonight’s results make it clear that we are most powerful when we fight for each other, when we leave no one behind, and when we act boldly. The many crises we face right now do not change that — they highlight it. We need to come out of this better, bigger, and more united than before. That’s what we’re doing together. That’s what our progressive movement is all about. Thank you for being part of it every step of the way.

Our fight is not over yet — Election Day is November 3rd. Never forget that our work together is happening at the most important time in recent history. We must continue the fight for Medicare for All to guarantee health care as a human right — everyone in and nobody out. We must do the real work to bring about an economy that works for everyone. We must stop using immigrants as political footballs and finally pass comprehensive and humane immigration reform. We must continue the urgent work to end police brutality. We must fight for environmental justice, clean air, and safe drinking water no matter your ZIP code. And we must secure racial justice and full equality while expanding voting rights and getting corporate PACs out of our politics.

I know this is a tall order. But barriers have never stopped us. Tonight’s primary results prove that — now let’s make clear that our people-first campaign won’t stop fighting. With so much at stake, we need leaders in Congress who bring the voices of all the people they represent to every conversation, to every single piece of legislation, and to every challenge they take on.
