Dear John -- We’re on track to have a fantastic August. Not only are we already pacing to exceed this month’s fundraising goal, but we made a pretty big announcement yesterday: President Barack Obama endorsed Gil’s reelection campaign for Congress! I am so proud of the hard work this team has put in to make this a reality. But the road ahead is going to be a difficult one and the fight doesn’t end until the last ballot is counted. That's why today, on President Barack Obama’s birthday, I think we should celebrate by continuing to strengthen his legacy by working to uphold our Democratic values on Election Day this November.
Look, it’s going to take incredible grassroots support from people like you to ensure that Gil and other vulnerable Democrats win this November. And the fact is that it’s all up to us whether or not we’re able to steer our country back towards progress in the White House, Senate, and House.
