Urgent! Write your legislators today before this bad bill gets a vote next week!

Hi John,

We need you to take action immediately [[link removed]]! The bad data center bill, AB 840 [[link removed]], introduced by Republicans earlier this session, is moving into committee and will be on the floor of the Senate early next week. We need your help making it clear to legislators that we oppose this bill [[link removed]].

This bill would fail to protect communities from data center impacts by:
Increasing energy costs for residents
Limiting access to lower-cost renewable energy
Failing to clearly require large tech companies to pay the full costs of their energy use and grid connections
Increasing pollution in local communities

Large data centers are popping up all over the state and more are being proposed. Wisconsin needs legislation that protects communities from the rising utility bills and health impacts. This bill would do the opposite. It holds the interests of the tech companies building these facilities, rather than the people who will be living near them.

Take action TODAY and tell your legislators to oppose this bill >>> [[link removed]]

Thanks for taking action,
