Stephanie Byers is on track to make history!

John,

I’m so excited to share this breaking news with you: Stephanie Byers just WON her primary and is on-track to be the FIRST openly trans person elected in Kansas! When she wins in November, Stephanie will join the small but growing number of openly trans state legislators around the country.

Kansas has been home to some of the worst anti-LGBTQ pieces of legislation. Bigoted legislators followed the lead of the Trump Administration and have been attacking the trans community – particularly trans kids – since Trump was sworn in. But as an award-winning educator, Stephanie knows her victory will mean the world to trans kids in Kansas and across the U.S. She's ready to win this seat and fight for equality.

Victory Fund is proud to stand with Stephanie as she fights to make history. Will you stand with us too? Donate today to keep the momentum going!

Stephanie ran unopposed in the primary and she'll need all hands on deck to beat her opponent this November. But she's ready to prove that trans candidates can win even in the most competitive races – and that voters will support them!

We must ensure that Stephanie – and all our amazing trans candidates – make history this November. Chip in today so we can get to work!

Thanks again for standing with us,

Sean Meloy

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
