Republicans in Congress have blocked substantial relief. Now, as we battle on Capitol Hill to win the relief that our families deserve, we’re approaching yet another cliff: Student loan deferment.

Younger Americans have had the least time to prepare for the economic crisis we’re facing, while making steadily higher cost of living payments, and juggling student loan payments on top. That’s not sustainable.

That’s why I’m joining a progressive coalition in calling for an extension of that student loan deferral until we have a COVID-19 vaccine. We can’t expect a true return to normal until that point. Will you sign your name to join our call?
