Dear John, |
Today, August 4, is President Barack Obama’s birthday. I intend to send him a card, and I would like to invite you to sign your name as well. |
|
As the first African American president, President Obama made history. He is a truly brilliant and kind man. As a senior member of Congress, I was proud to work with his administration to address the problems facing our nation. His administration was one that valued respect, thoughtful consideration of the issues facing our nation, and a compassion for all Americans. |
It was a pleasure to work with President Obama for eight years and I am honored to call him a colleague and friend. Please, join me in wishing him well today. |
Sign your name and even add a personal message here: |

Thank you for joining me in this effort. I know he will be touched to see all of your names. |
Sincerely, |
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. |
PS: If your friends and family would also like to wish President Obama a happy birthday, feel free to forward this message along. The more, the merrier. |
