Dear John,

When a heart attack strikes, no one should worry about the medical
bill they're going to receive after they seek emergency care.
When a woman with heart disease needs surgery, she shouldn't
have to worry that one of the care providers is out of network and
will result in an unexpectedly high bill.

Yet, too often, that's what happen - patients receive a surprise
medical bill. More than half of Americans have received a surprise
medical bill, throwing many into financial crisis.

Contact your members of Congress today and let them know that now is
the time to stop surprise medical billing and to protect patients from
financially devastating medical bills.

As Congress works to pass a COVID-19 economic relief package, it is
imperative that they include legislation to protect patients from
surprise medical bills. There is already bipartisan support for a fix
to this problem from the House, Senate and White House. Now we need
action.

Make your voice heard by telling Congress to stop surprise
medical bills.
