John,

Dwight is going to bat for Black and Latino-owned small businesses. Here's why:

As COVID-19 cases continue to surge across the country, lawmakers are debating where the next round of relief should go first. Black and Latino-owned businesses are a central part of our community and our local economies, but right now, they are getting left behind.

We're not out of the woods yet, which is why we need to help Main Street employers keep the lights on. Dwight is fighting to make sure the remaining Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) funding is rushed to small businesses, especially the Black and Latino-owned businesses who haven't received relief.

Our community's most vulnerable businesses need our help, John. Add your name now if you agree the remaining PPP needs to go to small businesses before it's too late.

As of May, only 12 percent of Black and Hispanic business owners received the funding they requested. Not only is this discriminatory, it's also hurting our communities and causing small businesses to shut their doors for good.

Already over 40 percent of Black-owned businesses across the country have had to close amid the financial crisis. These small business owners have worked hard for what they've created. We can't let them slip through the cracks.

As the Vice Chair of the Small Business Committee, Dwight is putting the pressure on the Small Business Administration to make sure Black and Latino-owned business owners get the support they need and deserve. If you agree the remaining PPP needs to go to small businesses, please add your name next to Dwight's today.
