“This district is not ready for these ideas.”

“Wait your turn.”


All phrases I heard when I announced I was running against one of the most conservative Democratic Congressmembers.


But that’s not how democracy is supposed to work. As an early supporter of our campaign, I know you agree.


Democratic voters in this district deserve a REAL choice. Like you, I haven’t been satisfied with my representation in Congress. My opponent doesn’t just disappoint on everything from protecting Social Security to protecting our planet; he acts like Mitch McConnell’s ally in the House!


I stepped up to run because we deserve better.


We deserve someone who fights for our values and who has the best interests of the people in mind, not corporate donors. We deserve a representative who will stand up to Trump and who is not afraid to work for bold ideas that make a real difference in our lives.


Since my campaign launched a month ago (7.29.19), I’ve met with community leader after community leader. I’ve spoken to many (but not even close to all) of the grassroots leaders. I’ve attended public events within NJ5--all to listen to the people.


And what I am hearing is that this district is ready for a candidate like me. Someone who supports Medicare For All, a Green New Deal, protecting Social Security, and restoring Dodd-Frank reform.

Someone who is willing to call Trump out by name and who is not beholden to corporate donors.
