Dear friend,

You know that powerful corporations concentrate significant efforts and funds lobbying our government. Does it surprise you that DoorDash spent over $2 million lobbying Wisconsin’s state government last year to avoid unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, and minimum wage laws? (Thankfully, Gov. Evers vetoed those bills).

It’s hard to go up against huge corporations. But guess what? In 2025, Wisconsin Conservation Voters ranked fifth in total hours spent lobbying at the state level! [[link removed]] Fifth, out of over 800 organizations listed. Thanks to YOU and your grassroots advocacy, we clocked 3,548 hours last year. That’s close to 150 FULL days of lobbying.

Your voices are being heard. You are helping to shape laws that affect Wisconsinites. Our organizing teams spent thousands of hours working with you on our legislative priorities, to ensure legislators heard directly from you. Grassroots organizing is why we’re making progress on solutions for clean drinking water, clean energy, and a healthy democracy. You made that possible.

It is your time, your talent, and your treasure that puts Wisconsin Conservation Voters near the top of this list.

Will you become a monthly donor today to ensure we can continue to advocate for our communities? [[link removed]]

Our presence at the Capitol leads to real, lasting change in our state. As we shared with you in our latest monthly email, the last legislative session wrapped up with several strong wins carried forward by WCV:

$125 million for PFAS relief is finally moving forward
The Data Center Accountability Act got a public hearing
The Knowles Nelson Stewardship Fund is protected…for now

Your donation [[link removed]] to Wisconsin Conservation Voters turns into hours spent at the Capitol advocating for change. The Trump administration has made many damaging decisions with devastating consequences to our environment, but Wisconsin Conservation Voters is here, stepping up, resisting, and making change.

Food for thought. If DoorDash spent $2 million lobbying last year, what will hyperscale data centers spend? They have billions of dollars in backing to squeeze resources out of Wisconsin. Please consider making a gift today to keep WCV near the top of the lobbying list. [[link removed]]

Thanks for being a conservation voter,
