I know I say it a lot, but I couldn’t be more grateful to have you on my team.

John, people talk about teams a lot in these types of emails. But the fact is, this team has shown up when it counts the most. When we’re close to falling short of our online fundraising goals, when we need to make just a dozen more outreach calls before we call it a night, when we’re sleep-deprived, yes, but wide-awake to the real possibility of losing this one shot to continue pushing for real progress in our community -- and so that fuels us through the long nights and the hard days.

I’ll be honest with you, John: We almost fell short of our goal this past month. But thanks to dozens of folks from across the district -- and beyond -- we were able to finish July strong and start this month on solid footing. For that, and for you, John, I am so thankful.

You’ll be hearing a lot from my team this month as we race towards Election Day and continue to build a strong, serious campaign.

And each time you hear from us, I hope you remember that you’re the reason I’m in this race, and you’re the reason that we’re going to win.
