Here’s an update from our campaign:
** First District Caucus
------------------------------------------------------------
I joined conservatives from across the 1st Congressional District in Hales Corners for our annual caucus.
I spoke about my work:
* Passing the Save America Act ([link removed]) in the House to secure our elections
* My bill to ban members of Congress ([link removed]) from trading stocks
* The need to unite and win Wisconsin this fall
[link removed]
It’s important to reach out to your friends and neighbors about how important our upcoming elections are. That includes the April election, where we will elect municipal leaders and the next Wisconsin Supreme Court justice.
Contact your county GOP ([link removed]) for more information on candidates in your area.

Funding Homeland Security
Last week, the House voted to pass funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS is one of the agencies responsible for keeping our nation safe and secure.
The House passed ([link removed]) funding for DHS by a vote of 221 to 209. It now heads to the Senate for passage.

Under the current partial DHS shutdown, DHS employees will not receive pay despite working. Some programs ([link removed]) are also pulled back or suspended. Impacts include:
* Some FEMA grants ([link removed]) remain inaccessible
* TSA officers ([link removed]) and other employees going without pay
* First responder training ([link removed]) has been canceled

Most Senate Democrats continue to oppose funding DHS. This comes as the conflict with Iran ([link removed]) continues and officials raise concerns about potential security threats ([link removed]) .
America 250 in Elkhorn
On Saturday, I joined the Republican Party of Walworth County for their Lincoln Day Dinner. ([link removed])
[link removed]
We also kicked off celebrating America’s 250th birthday. ([link removed]) Conservatives in Walworth County know that we need to show up in force to offset votes from the Left in cities like Milwaukee and Madison.
