You showed up this summer — so I wanted to personally thank you!

Hey,
As summer comes to an end, we wanted to send you a huge thank you!
Human Rights Campaign grassroots supporters like you showed up this historic
summer in more ways than one. From coast to coast, at every Pride event HRC
attended, we saw people from different backgrounds and experiences coming
together.
Many of you brought allies, parents, loved ones and friends with you — you took
a moment to share your unique self with the world, and that means a lot. Thank you for being visible, and for being a part of our HRC family!
I hope you take pride in what we accomplished together this summer:
* 10,493 of you took immediate action – when the Trump–Pence administration
announced a proposal that would rip massive holes in existing protections for
LGBTQ employees of contractors – to demand that the proposal be withdrawn.
Now it’s time to let the Department of Labor know that allowing federal
contractors to discriminate is wrong. ( If you haven’t submitted a comment against this yet, please do so today

&adv_email=&adv_phone=&adv_zip5=&adv_address1=] – this is crucially important).
* You flooded the Department of Health and Human Services with more than 26,000
comments defending access to healthcare for all.
* You signed over 8,149 petitions in support of the Equality Act at Prides
throughout the country. In fact, at many booths, we ran out of petitions!
* You helped commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots – 22,788
of you marched alongside us virtually or in New York City.
* If you attended a Pride event, you helped create the largest numbers ever to
participate in Pride events throughout the country, and helped get new Prides
off the ground in Lynchburg, Virginia and Window Rock, Arizona.
This year, HRC’s summer theme was “People. Power. Pride.” — and by taking action
to defend our rights, attending Pride events, virtually marching with us and
generously supporting our work, you showed the power of the HRC community —
thank you!
We are so grateful that grassroots members (like you!) aren’t tired... haven’t
given up... and won’t let our enemies win. In the months ahead, I hope you’ll
continue to fight by our side.
With gratitude,
