FACING THE BIG QUESTION: WHY DO THE RIGHTEOUS SUFFER AND THE EVIL PERSEVERE?
Thursdays, 10 – 11:30 AM
Begins September 12 for five weeks
Together, we will attempt to unpack several of the big questions of life that mystify each generation. Is there a moral order to the Universe? Are human beings meant to suffer? Why do evil people seem to get ahead? Is there an ultimate reward waiting for the righteous? Will the wicked ever be held accountable for their misgivings?

CULTURES IN CONFLICT:
THE NEW TESTAMENT
Wednesdays, 9:30 – 11 AM
or Thursdays, 7 – 8:30 PM
Begins September 18 or 19, for eight weeks
The three “Synoptic Gospels” of Matthew, Mark and Luke, and the fourth unique Gospel of John, separately tell the story of Jesus, his mission and message to the Jews and Paul’s New Testament Epistles are the earliest record of the “Jesus Movement.” Join us as we examine these writings as well as how a Jewish leader who preached a Jewish message, only to Jews, would become the focal point of a religion that is not Judaism.
