When women thrive, America thrives.

On International Women’s Day, I’m reflecting on the work we’re doing in
the United States Senate to make sure women have the freedom, health care,
and opportunity they deserve.

That means protecting reproductive freedom, because every woman should be
able to make her own health care decisions.

It means ensuring military families can access quality reproductive care
no matter where they’re stationed.

It means investing in research for uterine fibroids and uterine cancer,
issues that have been underfunded and overlooked for far too long.

And it means tackling the leading cause of death for women: heart disease.
I’m proud to have just introduced bipartisan legislation to expand access
to heart health screenings and prevention services for women who need them
most.

Progress doesn’t just happen. It takes leadership, persistence, and people
like you standing alongside me. We are living through a moment when
fundamental freedoms are under attack. But I refuse to let us go backward.

Together, we’ll ensure women’s rights aren’t just defended, but
strengthened for generations to come.
