Hi friend,

I’m emailing you today about something a bit different.

On the 28th of this month we’ll be taking part in the Together Alliance march through central London.

Together Alliance is made up of hundreds of social justice organisations, representing over 7 million people in the UK. It’s a mobilisation for love, hope, and unity in the face of growing division.

Things are hard for millions of us right now. The cost of living crisis continues to loom large, driven by stagnant wages, soaring inflation, and growing inequality. Over 10 million people are overindebted in the UK, with many forced into debt just to pay for everyday living costs.

Right now, the far right is using this moment to sow division, using concern about the economy to point the finger at migrants and communities of colour. But we won't stand for it.

We must make sure we're laying the blame for this crisis where it truly belongs. Banks, energy companies, high-cost lenders, debt collectors have all exploited this crisis, pushing people deeper into poverty through high interest rates and unjust fees. These are the institutions profiting from the crisis, and they must be held to account.

That’s why we’re signing up to be a part of a movement that has a different message, one that wants to build solidarity and bring communities together, not drive them apart.

The main march is happening in London and is supported by public figures like Sir Lenny Henry, Steve Coogan and singer Paloma Faith. Coaches and transport are being organised from across the UK. And if you can’t make it on the day, you can also join an online rally, which will be announced soon here ([link removed]) .

friend, I hope to see you there!

In solidarity,
Eva, Heidi, Zak, and everyone at Debt Justice
