Julie Johnson In Runoff For TX-33

Julie Johnson is headed to a runoff to represent her Dallas-area district. Johnson is the only out LGBTQ+ congressperson from the South, a longtime LGBTQ+ champion and lawmaker who has helped to secure our rights and fight for our communities countless times.

After stories of voter confusion during the primary, she introduced a bill requiring ample notice of voting location changes. We need to make sure we keep her critical voice in Congress.
 

Annise Parker In A Runoff For Harris County Judge

Our former president & CEO and former Houston Mayor Annise Parker is making a comeback to public office. She’s headed to a runoff for the Democratic nomination for Harris County Judge.

Parker received more than 46% of the vote and carries the endorsement of the Houston Chronicle and countless others. She’s got the experience, political chops, and fire to win. She’s been active on the campaign trail, connecting with voters, and is poised to claim victory all the way through to November.
 

5 Victory Fund Candidates Win In Tuesday's Elections

Victory Fund candidates were on the ballot in Texas, North Carolina, and Vermont this week. Incumbents Stormie Forte (NC), Sarah Martinez (TX), and Jonathan West (VT) won their races. Many more candidates ran unopposed and now head to the general election.
