My sister in service Rashida Tlaib’s primary is tomorrow

Friend,

My sister in service Rashida Tlaib’s primary is tomorrow -- just a week before my own -- and it’s critical that she’s re-elected so she can keep showing up for Michigan’s 13th District in Congress. But a new super PAC has poured tens of thousands of dollars into false mailers to deceive voters and defeat her, so in these final hours, we must come together to make sure her campaign has the resources to get out the vote.

Will you split a $10 donation between Rashida’s and my campaigns so we can keep up our fight against the status quo? We don’t accept a cent from corporate PACs because we refuse to be beholden to the corporations hurting our communities.

Rashida and I are longtime organizers who deeply understand the needs of our communities -- and we will always die on the hill of providing for them. When Rashida’s constituents told her they were suffering without access to clean water, she didn’t wait to ask what the utility companies had to say -- instead, she introduced and passed bold legislation in Congress to guarantee Americans the clean water they deserve.

Rashida’s constituents are counting on her groundbreaking, transformative leadership -- and in difficult times that call for unprecedented action, it’s important for us to go back to Congress together to keep fighting for progressive priorities like Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and universal school meals. While we’ve passed landmark legislation together like the NO BAN Act to repeal the Muslim ban, we have a lot of work left to do to make sure our government is putting people first.

So help us continue our fight for progress by chipping in through a donation to both of our campaigns.

Thanks for all you do.
