From being in his last cohort of White House Fellows in 2016 to being in his first wave of endorsements in 2020, it's always an honor to be recognized by President Obama.

Dr. Cameron Webb for Congress

John, I'm proud to share with you some really exciting news: President Barack Obama endorsed our campaign this morning.

Every day, we focus on going above and beyond in order to bring home a victory in November. While our team is pushing hard to win this race, our presence on President Obama's first wave of 2020 endorsements highlights just how compelling a case we’re making to flip VA-05. We can flip this seat—especially if you’re able to pitch in to help. This election is too important for anyone to sit it out.

"I'm proud to endorse this diverse and hopeful collection of thoughtful, empathetic, and highly qualified Democrats." -President Barack Obama

As many of you may know, I had the honor of working in the White House for President Obama on issues of healthcare, education, workforce development and criminal justice reform. Both then and now, his wisdom, values and undying faith in our democracy is an inspiration.

Near the end of his presidency, my class of White House Fellows had a chance to sit down for an hour with President Obama. Afterward, he wrote us a quick note: "You will all change the world for the better — just remember to pace yourselves!" To this day, I keep a copy of this note in my office—sage advice that I take to heart.

There are moments in life when you know it's time to pick up the pace. Last year, as I saw so many challenges facing my community, I recognized it as one of those moments. So I decided to run for Congress to lift voices and advocate for my neighbors and friends across Virginia’s Fifth District.

With only three months until the general election, the pace for everything in this election is accelerating faster than ever. Having President Obama's endorsement at this critical moment in the race matters greatly, but what will ultimately put us over the line is the grassroots support of folks like you.

So John, please give $25 or whatever you can to help us win in 92 days. Let's keep our momentum going strong!

Thank you,

Cameron
