President Barack Obama said it best: He chose to endorse our campaign because he knows that we’re running a movement dedicated to “sticking up for working class people, restoring fairness and opportunity to our system, and fighting for the good of all Americans -- not just those at the top.”

Indeed, as a member of Congress, I’ve spent my career fighting to bring about positive change for America’s working-class families, women, students, and our veterans. And, John, I’m so proud of the progress that our Democratic House Majority has made to get big money out of politics, stand up for social safety nets, and protect access to affordable health care for all.

But the fact is that our work is far from over -- and that’s why this endorsement means so much to me, personally: I only won by three percent in 2018, and we need all hands on deck this cycle to ensure that we keep California’s 39th blue this November.
