Adopt Dixon: Treeline Treenut Cheese presents Dixon cow

Dear John,

Dixon is the sweetheart of our Acton cow herd.

The one-year-old Holstein is a gentle, playful boy who loves nuzzling his friends—cow and human alike. Sadly, the California dairy farmer who bred Dixon didn’t share the love; because males can’t produce milk, he considered Dixon useless and offered him up on Craigslist for free.

At Farm Sanctuary, we value animals as individuals—not commodities. Thanks to a kind rescuer, Dixon will now spend the rest of his life in safety at Sanctuary. But most “dairy boys” like Dixon aren’t as lucky—they face slaughter for veal or cheap beef within just weeks to months of their birth.

We need your help to change the tide for more calves like Dixon.

You can sponsor Dixon through our Adopt a Farm Animal Program for a one-time donation of $35. In gratitude, we’ll send you an Adoption Certificate featuring this beloved bovine. And, when you donate today, Treeline Treenut Cheese will match your gift dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000! We’re grateful to be collaborating for the fifth year in a row with this plant-based, non-dairy cheese producer to realize more inspiring stories of dairy survivors like Dixon.

Adopt Dixon

As a proud farm animal “parent,” your support will help provide Dixon with nourishing food, clean bedding, shelter, and medical care—allowing this young steer to grow up happy and healthy alongside his herd. Your gift also funds our larger rescue, education, and advocacy work: helping us to save more cows like Dixon, shed light on the cruelty they face in the dairy industry, and fight to change laws that perpetuate these standards.

If you adopt between now and August 31st, your support is doubled—up to $10,000.

Invest in our lifesaving work today and double your impact for farm animals like Dixon. Together, with your support, we can rescue more animals and give them the best lives possible.

Love,

Farm Sanctuary
