Trump just fired DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

This comes just two days after she appeared in front of the Senate
Judiciary Committee — where I grilled her about her ties to her “special
advisor” Corey Lewandowski, her $220 million PR contract, and her painful
lies about “domestic terrorism” in Minnesota.

I’ve also called out DHS for massive fraud and waste and reported on the
multimillion-dollar increase in DHS spending for weapons, ammunition, and
related accessories for ICE, and the agency’s sweetheart deals.

Turns out, our work to bring oversight and accountability to the
department has paid off. And even Donald Trump felt he was being tarred by
his association with her.

While we succeeded in getting rid of Kristi Noem, who was horribly
underqualified for the role from the start, we can’t stop now. As I told
the press shortly after the news broke, the fish rots from the head. Her
firing alone does not mean any change in direction from the agency or this
White House.

unabated. And I don’t intend to stop conducting oversight anytime soon.
