BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump just fired Kristi Noem.

All I have to say is good riddance.

Under Kristi Noem’s direction, Renee Good and Alex Pretti were brutally murdered by untrained federal paramilitary agents. And after their murders, Noem went on TV and called them domestic terrorists. Untrained DHS agents conducted warrantless arrests, ignored due process, and used violence against American citizens. And she never once took responsibility for her officers' arresting and detaining multiple American citizens.

Secretary Noem violated the public trust — and then doubled down. Her lack of leadership fueled fear, chaos, and deadly misconduct. Time and time again, she proved she was unfit to serve as Secretary of Homeland Security.

So today’s decision matters. Accountability matters.

I supported the resolution to impeach Kristi Noem. I fought for accountability alongside lawmakers in the House. And Trump felt the pressure. Now she’s gone.

But the fight for accountability doesn’t end here.

Nearly seven years ago, I blew the whistle on Donald Trump. I stood up then — and I’m still standing up now.

But standing up to Trump and his cronies has made me a major target. Republicans are doing everything in their power to kick me out of Congress. Trump has even launched a sham investigation into me.
