The benefits of preschool are undisputed and far-reaching - children who attend preschool are more likely to finish high school and earn more over their lifetimes. These children are also more likely to remain in the same state where they grew up, adding to their local job force and supporting community economies across our state.
As one of the last states in the nation to implement public preschool, it is long past time to invest in our children and working families and create a public preschool option for our youngest learners.
