John–

Just one year ago, our nation endured back-to-back mass shootings. In El
Paso, Texas, a man fueled by hate opened fire at a Walmart, targeting
Latino/a people. He killed 23 people and wounded 23 more. Less than 24
hours later, another shooter killed 9 people and wounded 17 more at a
series of bars and restaurants in Dayton, Ohio.

As we honor the lives of those killed and wounded by gun violence, we also
remember that out of the grief and rage came a lot of promises from
elected leaders, even from NRA allies like President Donald Trump.

We also remember that all of those promises have been broken.

John, the victims and survivors of gun violence deserve better.

[ [link removed] ]Take the pledge to honor victims and survivors of gun violence with
action. After you sign the pledge, we'll give you opportunities to make
good on that promise by getting involved with Moms Demand Action chapters
near you, and sharing survivor stories with your family, friends, and
community.

Even though a year has passed since the El Paso and Dayton shootings,
meaningful federal action has been blocked by the White House and the
Senate, as they are continuously paralyzed by the NRA's extreme "guns
everywhere" agenda. With elections in November fast approaching, we will
hold the NRA's allies accountable for their failure to act in the wake of
these tragedies and countless others. When our leaders won't do their
jobs, we need to elect new leaders.

But that's just the beginning.

John, join us in honoring the lives of victims and survivors of
gun violence with action. [ [link removed] ]Take the pledge and we'll provide you with
more opportunities to make a difference.

Thanks for all you do to end the gun violence crisis in America. With your
help, we can make legislation a reality that will prevent future tragedies
like the El Paso and Dayton shootings—as well as daily gun violence in all
of its forms—from happening in the first place.

Together we care,

Debbie Weir
